Graduates demonstrated the knowledge and skills they gained in fish capture, boat repair, and post-harvest processing to the Deputy Minister of Livestock and Fishery Development, other government officers, and key stakeholders.

Secure Fisheries became a member of the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions, a global community of stakeholders from around the world working together to make seafood supply chains more sustainable.

These challenges range from foreign competition to a lack of cold chain infrastructure, and the impact of COVID-19.

As part of the Fisher Field School project, Secure Fisheries and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization distributed fishing equipment to three villages in the Zeila district of Somaliland.

We met with three local fishers to hear their stories and how they work with Secure Fisheries in the One Earth Future Impact Spotlight.

The agreement is supported by Secure Fisheries and was facilitated by Senior Field Manager, Ahmed-Yasin Osman Moge.
