Project Kalluun presented at Indian Ocean Tuna Commission

At the 14th Session of the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission Working Party on Data Collection and Statistics, the Somalia Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR) presented Project Kalluun, a Secure Fisheries initiative in partnership with City University Mogadishu, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, and the MFMR to improve catch data collection. The report presented was authored by Sarah Glaser, Abdirahim Ibrahim Sheikheile (MFMR), Jamal Hassan, Liiban Ise Farah, and Fardowsa Mohamud Weheliye (City University). The Ministry formally committed to continuing and expanding the project in Somalia.
